    No rapping in the Drive-Thru

Absolutely ridiculous that this is actually true: a couple of teens were arrested for rapping in the drive-thru.  You have got to be kidding me.  It was obviously modeled off the hilarious Burger King rap youtube sensation and then the copy cat Taco Bell commercial (which could easily land Taco Bell a lawsuit for further promoting drive-thru rapping, but who knows).  I bet we won’t see that commercial ever again.

Stephen Colbert tells the story in the best way possible, featuring Fabolous.

As if there was ever any doubt…

The upcoming album “Recovery,” previously going to be “Relapse 2”, should only further establish Em’s genius.  Release date is set for June 22nd and it was announced today that the first single “Not Afraid” will be released THIS FRIDAY at 3AM THURSDAY MORNING.  I’ll definitely be up and ready to download.

Em released a new freestyle today for us to enjoy in the meantime.  To the beat of “Over” and “Beamer, Benz, or Bentley,” here ya go:

    Land of Promise

Life is crazy right now.  Sorry for slackin on my tumbling.  I finally got some free time so without further adieu…

New track leaked off of Nas and Damian Marley’s collaboration album “Distant Relatives.”  This one has a real dope reggae vibe.  After hearing “As We Enter” and now “Land of Promise,” I cannot wait for this album to be released.  May 18th can’t come soon enough.  Hopefully the release won’t get pushed back again.

    Upcoming Snoop and Cudi video

Can’t forget that tree… And I definitely can’t wait till this music video is released.  Not sure when we’ll get to see it, but its supposed to be in 3D which should make it out of control.  I guess since all the movies are going 3D, it was only a matter of time till music videos did the same…glad Cudi and Snoop are leading the way.

In the mean time, enjoy the mp3 if you haven’t been already.

    Reflection Eternal

I absolutely cannot wait till the new album from Reflection Eternal (Talib Kweli & DJ Hi-Tek) drops.  Just read an article today though that said “Revolutions Per Minute” is being pushed back from its previously scheduled 4/20 release to now May 18th.  Bummer…

Anywho, new track from the album was released featuring Estelle.  This should tide us over while we wait.

    ….and we’re BACK

Ok ok ok, so this has been a crazy few weeks.  The semester started and I had some serious issues with my laptop (serves me right for owning a PC I guess).  First the hard drive on my computer wasn’t working, then my screen broke, then I got my screen fixed only to find that Windows XP had become so corrupt it could barely run.  I had to reinstall XP on my computer, but were all good now as of last week and i’m going to try to start this tumbling thing again regularly.

    First up:

Dan Black ft. Kid Cudi - Symphonies

I got this song several weeks ago but the music video wasn’t released until semi recently.  The video is just as amazing as the song.  Very very different but so original.  It’s a play off of different movie intros (so if you’re a movie buff you may recognize a lot of them) and that’s basically what the entire video revolves around.  Definitely worth checking out.

I was at this back in January.  Reb and SOJA were sick, but I wish more people were into Zion I.  He really killed it.  SOCAL
